It started with finding things we loved.
Littori started in 2024, after Asami discovered a very different side of ceramics in Jingdezhen.
Beyond the traditional porcelain the city is famous for, there was this whole world of young artists making things that were quirky, playful and sometimes just a little weird — in the best way.
We loved them. And thought Singapore might too.
So we brought some home.
One pop-up led to another — Good Pet Fair, Singapore Pet Festival and plenty of weekends packing ceramics into boxes, setting up tables and meeting people who got just as excited about these little pieces as we did.
Somewhere along the way, Asami started making too.
Being surrounded by ceramics all the time has consequences.
Asami started spending more time learning pottery and returning to Jingdezhen whenever she could to practise, learn and get better at the craft.
Today, Littori is still about discovering interesting work from independent ceramic artists, but it has also become a place for Asami to create her own pieces through ASA by Littori, from her little home pottery studio.
All while being a mum, running a home and somehow finding time to make another cup.
So, what makes something “Littori”?
We like things with personality.
A funny handle. A wonky little character. An unexpected colour. Something that makes you pick it up and look twice.
We don't really care if something follows the latest trend.
If it makes us smile, we're interested.
