FLOW Abstract Ceramic Mug — Electric Blue & Mint

Description

Part of artist Faye’s FLOW series, this ceramic mug is one of the bolder colourways in the collection, built around vivid blue, soft mint and earthy contrast tones.

The exterior is finished in a saturated electric blue glaze, layered with pale mint cell-like forms, charcoal-grey flowing lines and small red, black and white accents. The warm terracotta-toned interior creates a striking contrast, making the cup feel especially graphic from every angle.

As with the other FLOW pieces, the sculptural handle is shaped through the pressure of Faye’s own fingers in the clay, leaving a tactile trace of the artist’s hand in the finished form. The irregular surface, flowing lines and organic motifs give the mug a sense of movement rather than symmetry.

Expressive, unconventional and full of energy, this piece sits somewhere between functional tableware and a small work of contemporary ceramic art.
